Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the internet. 

My name is Anna (pronounced like Elsa’s sister), but I will answer to variations of it. I have been married to my husband Dakota since May 2017 & we get the joy of parenting two incredible kiddos! 

Home right now is East Tennessee & we have some pretty big dreams of taking our kids to see more of the world. Hopefully sooner than later!

I am a RN by degree, and currently working from home for YoungLiving with photography mixed in & I’ll never get over how grateful I am for what I get to do! 

I’ve had a camera in my hands since I was about 12 years old & have always loved capturing stories. Photography has never been a full-time job for me, but continues to be a creative outlet, a bit of extra income for my family & something I am deeply passionate about. 

I recognize the privilege it is to be invited into someone’s story, to watch the moments happen & capture them in a way that allows you to relive them over and over.

I’m so awkward in front of the camera. Will you tell me what to do?

Wanna know a secret? Almost EVERYONE feels awkward in front of a camera, including me! My goal when I head into a session is to help you feel comfortable and at ease, direct when needed, and capture glimpses of what makes up the whole of who you are. I’ll be your hype girl the whole time! & at the end, I usually hear “that wasn’t so bad!” or “that was actually really fun!” 

How do we make this thing happen?

You’re ready to book? YAY! Head over to my “contact” page to fill out the form and let me know what sort of session/package you are interested in! Once we pick a date, I’ll request a non-refundable deposit, which can be transferred to another date if needed, and then you’re officially on my calendar! Simple as that! 

I don’t know where to go or what to wear. Will you have ideas?

I have some go-to locations in the Johnson City/East Tennessee area. We can chat about what kind of vibe you’re wanting and decide from there! If you have a specific spot in mind, I’m always up for trying new places! Especially if they’re special to you. As far as outfits, wear something that is comfortable and feels like you! If you have questions about colors/patterns/etc. we can absolutely talk through that, but my biggest piece of advice? Don’t overthink it. You will look back and love the pictures that felt and looked the most like YOU.

How long after our photos are taken until we get to see them? How do you send them?

I ask for a maximum of 12 weeks for weddings and a maximum of 4 weeks for all other sessions. I deliver my images through an online gallery, which can then be downloaded to your computer. You will receive full printing rights so you can share and print your photos however you want to!

Will you travel to take photos?

I will! I am always up for an adventure and understand that sometimes a place is what makes the photo, especially if you have “your” place. I will travel within 30 minutes of Johnson City, TN for no extra cost. Beyond that, I have travel rates which we can chat about when you reach out!
